이 무더운 한여름

초록 들판에

누가 팝콘을 뿌려 놓았을까?

 

가난한 사람들 먹으라고

배고픈 벌, 나비 먹으라고

하얗게 뿌려 놓은 팝콘 잔치

 

난, 먹지 않고 보기만 해도

배부르고 마음 흐뭇해진다

In this sweltering midsummer,

who has scattered popcorn across the green fields?

 

A white popcorn feast scattered so the needy might eat,

so the hungry bees and butterflies might eat.

 

Though I do not eat it,

simply looking at it fills my stomach and warms my heart.
