돌 하나, 꽃 한 송이

 

                            신경림

 

 

꽃을 좋아해 비구 두엇과 눈 속에 핀 매화에 취해도 보고

개망초 하얀 간척지 농투성이 농성에 덩달아도 보고

노래가 좋아 기성화장수 봉고에 실려 반도 횡단도 하고

버려진 광산촌에서 중로의 주로와 동무로 뒹굴기도 하고

 

이래서 이 세상에 돌로 버려지면 어쩌나 두려워하면서

이래서 이 세상에 꽃으로 피었으면 꿈도 꾸면서

갈피를 못 잡을 때에도 대부분은 나아가고 있는 법입니다.

One Stone, One Flower

Liking flowers, I was intoxicated with plum blossoms blooming in the snow, alongside a few monks,

And joined in with the white protest of farmers on the reclaimed land dotted with dog daisies,

Loving songs, I crossed the peninsula loaded in the van of a ready-made shoe seller,

And rolled around as a friend and companion to Juro and Julo in an abandoned mining village.

 

For all this, I fear what if I am cast aside as a stone in this world,

For all this, I also dream of blooming as a flower in this world.
