인생길의 어디쯤에 걸어가든

너는 지금까지의 생애에 대해

생각해 보아야 한다

 

떨어지는 별똥별도 뒤를 볼 줄 알거든

하물며 너야......

 

네 영혼과 실행의 미와 추, 의식과 무, 신념과 부......

지금까지의 너를 떠다 모아

양심의 저울에 올려놓아야 한다

 

너는 지금까지 무슨 樂으로 살아왔으며 살아가는가?

이는 네 앞길을 위해 중요하다

 

감상과 환상에만 허덕일 때

네게 찾아오는 것은

앞날에 대한 불안과 허탈......

이는 방향키의 파괴다

 

지금까지의 너는 앞으로의 너를 위한

다행한 반증이다

지금 이 순간 반추는, 저울추는,

새로운 내일의 너에 대한 확신이다

Gather up the beauty and ugliness of your soul and actions, your consciousness and lack thereof, your beliefs and disbelief...

Gather up the 'you' of the past and place it on the steelyard of your conscience.

 

What pleasure have you lived for and are you living for so far?

This is important for the path ahead of you.

 

When you only struggle with sentiment and illusion,

what comes to you is anxiety and emptiness about the future...

This is the destruction of the rudder.

 

The 'you' of the past is a fortunate counter-evidence for the 'you' of the future.

At this very moment,

this reflection, this steelyard weight,

is the certainty of the new you tomorrow.
