좋아하는 시간

아침 햇살

낮의 노고

밤의 정적

 

난 그 시간을 좋아했다

 

아침 여명의 그 고요한 생동을

낮의 치열과 그 정직한 노동을

밤의 어둠과 그 별빛의 사유를

 

그리고 잠깐, 그 사이에 잠깐,

깊은 숨을 쉬면서 초연히

저 먼 곳을 바라보는 것을 좋아했다

 

인생에서 정말로 중요한 것은

사는 것, 죽는 것, 그리하여

사랑하는 것뿐이라고

Time I loved

 

                                       Park No-hae

 

 

Morning sunlight,

Daytime labor,

Nighttime stillness.

 

I liked those times.

 

The quiet vitality of the morning dawn,

The intensity of the day and its honest labor,

The darkness of night and its starlit contemplation.

 

And briefly, just briefly in between,

I liked taking a deep breath, detached,

And gazing into the far distance.

 

Realizing that the only truly important things in life Are

living, dying, and therefore,

Loving.
