한잠 잘 자라

 

                           박노해

 

 

눈 녹은 대지에 씨를 뿌린다

완두콩 옥수수 밀 더덕 도라지 오이

 

불볕과 비비람 속에 꽃피고 익어온

지난 생의 종말인 이 작은 씨앗들

 

해토에 다독다독 묻어주는

너의 끝은 새로운 시작

 

어둠 속에 침묵 속에

죽음처럼 깊이 한잠 잘 자라

 

세상 일일랑 다 놓아두고

떠난 듯이 잊힌 듯이 한잠 잘 자라

 

새싹의 얼굴로 다시 만날 때까지

치열한 믿음으로 한잠 잘 자라

개구리가 겨울잠에서 깨어난다는 경칩입니다.

봄의 기운이 좋은 일들과 함께 오길 기원합니다.

Sleep Deeply for a While

 

                                             Park No-hae

 

I sow seeds upon the thawed earth:

Peas, corn, wheat, deodeok, bellflower, and cucumber.

 

Having bloomed and ripened through scorching sun and storms,

These tiny seeds are the end of a previous life.

 

Gently burying them in the melting soil,

I see that your end is a new beginning.

 

In the darkness, in the silence,

Sleep deeply for a while, as profound as death.

 

Leave all worldly affairs behind,

Sleep deeply for a while, as if departed or forgotten.

 

Until we meet again with the face of a new sprout,

Sleep deeply for a while, with fierce faith.
