장미 한 송이를 책상에 심어 그 꽃이 만발하게 될 때까지

밤하늘에 별들이 이별이란 글자를 만들기 전에는

한여름밤에 눈이내려 눈사태가 나기 전에는

임과 이별하지 않겠습니다.

서울거리에 야자수가 무르익어 그 열매를 따먹기 전에는

임과 이별하지 않겠습니다.

민들레 홀씨를 튀겨 모래에 심어 그 꽃이 만발하기 전에는

임과 이별하지 않겠습니다.

청아한 하늘에 달이 스무개가 뜨기 전에는

임과 이별하지 않겠습니다.

먹구름 낀 장마철에 해가 스무개가 뜨기 전에는

임과 이별하지 않겠습니다.

푸른바다에 손을 담가 손끝부터 발끝까지 온몸이 파랗게 물들기 전에는

임과 이별하지 않겠습니다.

온 세상 사람들이 머리에 하얀원을, 어깨에 하얀날개를 달기 전에는

임과 이별하지 않겠습니다.

하얀 캔버스에 목련꽃을 그려 그 향기가 방안에 가득하기 전에는

임과 이별하지 않겠습니다.

사랑합니다. 영원히.

until I have dipped my hands in the blue sea and turned my body blue from head to toe.

until people all over the world wear white circles on their heads and white wings on their shoulders.

until I paint magnolia blossoms on a white canvas and their scent fills the room.
