사랑하는 친구에게 처음 받은
시집의 첫 장을 열듯 오늘도
아침을 엽니다

나에겐 오늘이 새날이듯
당신도 언제나 새사람이고
당신을 느끼는 내 마음도 언제나
새마음입니다

처음으로 당신을 만났던 날의
설레임으로
나의 하루는 눈을 뜨고
나는 당신을 향해
출렁이는 안타까운 강입니다.

Just as I open the first page of a poetry book

received from a dear friend,

I open this morning.

 

Just as today is a new day for me,

you are always a new person,

and my heart that feels you is always

a new heart.

 

With the same flutter

of the first day I met you,

my day opens its eyes,

and I am a river

that yearns and rushes toward you.
