바깥으로 뱉어내지 않으면 고통스러운 것이

몸 속에 있기 때문에
꽃은, 핀다
솔직히 꽃나무는
꽃을 피워야 한다는 게 괴로운 것이다

내가 너를 그리워하는 것,
이것은 터뜨리지 않으면 곪아 썩는 못난 상처를
바로 너에게 보내는 일이다
꽃이 허공으로 꽃대를 밀어올리듯이

그렇다 꽃대는
꽃을 피우는 일이 너무 힘들어서
자기 몸을 세차게 흔든다
사랑이여, 나는 왜 이렇게 아프지도 않는 것이냐
몸 속의 아픔이 다 말라버리고 나면
내 그리움도 향기나지 않을 것 같아 두렵다

살아남으려고 밤새 발버둥을 치다가
입 안에 가득 고인 피,
뱉을 수도 없고 뱉지 않을 수도 없을 때
꽃은, 핀다

because blooming a flower is too difficult.
